Our finances
Like all choirs and similar groups, we have operating overheads that need to be paid for. The fees that we charge covers the cost of the venue hire, director fees for practises and performances throughout the term, and other expenses.
Fees can be paid in one of two ways as follows:
Fees can be paid in one of two ways as follows:
- Casual Payment Option: If you come on an infrequent basis then you can pay casually each week that you attend. The rate for 2020 is $10 (waged) or $8 (concession or unwaged).
- Term Payment Option: If you are a regular participant, you can get a discount by paying $80 (waged) or $60 (concession or unwaged) for the entire term. Please pay this within the first three weeks of the term. Note that there are no refunds for missed sessions. We encourage members to use the Term Payment Option as it demonstrates commitment to the choir and reduces the administration duties. You can pay this by cash at the Treasurer’s table, or by Internet Banking to our account number 38 9012 0587882 00 (please include your name as printed on your name tag in the payee details if you pay using Internet Banking).
Communications
All Choir Members have a name badge, which they are encouraged to wear. Your name badge can be picked up from the table before practice commences (or at the break if you arrive late). Please return your name badge after practice to the box located by the exit door.
We maintain a secure email address database that is used to send out choir notices, or to advise of kindred choral activities that are likely to be of interest to our choir's membership. We appreciate and respect choir members' willingness to provide us with their email addresses and undertake to use 'Blind Copy' addressing, (to prevent your email address from being seen by other recipients), and to not send out bulk emails for any other purpose.
Please advise any email address updates to WelComChoir@gmail.com.

Organisation
We don't have a formal organising committee as such, however there are a small number of Choir Members who comprise the 'Core Group' who volunteer to manage the administration and contribute to the general fellowship and spirit found in this choir. Members of the Core Group are identified by coloured name badges. Please contact them if you have any queries or suggestions.
From time to time we may make requests for members of the choir to volunteer to undertake a specific task. You are encouraged to do what you can for your community.
